Who We Are?

We are a dedicated human rights film festival in Nepal that has grown through a decade-long journey since 2010, now proudly reaching its 12th edition. Built on the belief that cinema can inspire awareness, empathy, and action, our festival uses the power of storytelling to highlight important human rights issues affecting Nepal and the wider world. Even after challenges such as the devastating 2015 earthquake, we have continued our mission with resilience and commitment, creating a platform where voices of justice, equality, and dignity can be heard.

We bring together filmmakers, human rights defenders, stakeholders, and communities to spark meaningful dialogue and understanding. Through films, we advocate for the rights of women, Dalits, Madheshi communities, indigenous peoples, children, and freedom of speech and press freedom. Our goal is to educate citizens about their rights, expose hidden violations, encourage socially conscious filmmaking, and support advocacy for positive policy change. At the same time, we celebrate cultural exchange and promote tourism by connecting Nepal with global perspectives through cinema.
